Financial Summary for 2006 |
|
Dear supporters, This has been a banner year for the foundation. In 2006 we expanded our school to include four levels of elementary school along with the three levels of junior high that we’ve offered since 1999. In doing so we expanded our school and now employ a total of six teachers including a new Assistant Lead Teacher. With this new staff, we now have over 60 students! Not only did we grow in size, we also improved the school. In 2006 we added a flush toilet (the first in the neighborhood), expanded our computer lab, and made improvements to the building structure. We even survived a hurricane! November 2006 marked our 4th junior high graduation with 11 students receiving certificates. The vast majority of our students have gone on to higher education and I’m excited for what lies ahead for our graduates. Without our efforts, these opportunities would never be possible for these students. At our home in Redmond, Washington, things couldn’t be better for the organization. After many years of just getting by, in 2006 we were able to begin investing some additional funds and planning for the future or the foundation. This, of course, is due to the generous contributions of people like you. Thank you for making dreams come true! Doug Johnson, President and Founder
